A Kidney Stones Home Remedy With Taste

Who said medicines have to taste awful?

Water with lemon

The best way to stay hydrated is the classic still mineral water or natural fresh lemonade.

Lemons have high levels of citrate, which is naturally used by kidneys to prevent formation of stones.

Lemons help both in breaking the stones and in removing them due to their diuretic properties.

Black radish

... is a fountain of health. It is rich in vitamin C, B1, magnesium, iron and calcium. These elements make it an excellent kidney, gallbladder and liver cleanse, by increasing the quantity and fluidity of gall and kidneys.

The active principles contained in black radishes promote breaking of kidney stones (urinary calculi) and their removal. They also help prevent the formation of new stones.

Drink 1 tablespoon of black radish juice in the morning, on an empty stomach. Grate the radices and squeeze them through gauze. You might take a while to get used to the taste. Some even find it icky.

Be careful because this juice irritates a little the stomach lining. Eat immediately after drinking the juice. If you have a sensitive stomach, mix it with carrot juice. In case you have more serious problems with stomach or intestines, avoid radish juice.

Do you like grapefruits? You do? Then follow this "strict treatment": Eat one grapefruit on an empty stomach in the morning.

Some sources say grapefruit juice may increase the chances of getting kidney stones, while others (for example this article from British Journal of Nutrition) say different.

I think one grapefruit a day won't hurt and it's a kidney stones home remedy worth trying. Just remember to also drink lots of water.

Kidney Sone Clear - homeopathic remedy dissolves and clears kidney stones, plus relieves pain, nausea and vomiting.

... has 90% water and it's a no-brainer for a kidney cleanse. I can tell you from personal experience that you will surely go to the bathroom often :)

Try this secret watermelon cure:
Eat watermelons for 10-20 days to cleanse your whole body. That's it! I'm kidding. Actually there is one more secret:

Before the treatment, as well as in the last 3 days use herbal remedies for kidney stones to break them in little pieces. Then the water from watermelon will remove them.

After taking these herbs, keep a bottle with hot water on the kidney area for 1 or 2 hours. Some herbs that cause the stones to break are Birch leaves (Betula alba), Cranberry leaves (Vaccinium vitis idaea), Pine resin (Pinus sylvestris) and Juniper berries (Juniperus communis).

There is no contraindication to this cure, except if you have renal failure.

Olive oil

Another easy kidney stones home remedy is Olive oil (extra virgin). Just mix 3 tablespoons of olive oil with the juice from 2 lemons. Stir well and drink half an hour before a meal. Repeat this twice daily, for 2-3 weeks.

Instead of lemon juice, mix the olive oil with Horsetail tincture to increase its efficiency and help with the nausea. This treatment is also effective for gallstones.

After the treatment, it is possible that the stones which travel down will trigger an unbearable pain. In this case, call your doctor for a pain killer prescription.

Take 6-8 parsley stems and leaves and boil in with 1 l water. Simmer until the water level drops by half. Drink this tea instead of other liquid (about 2 l per day), for 3-4 weeks. It is a good diuretic and it soothes the pain.
