I discovered my favorite home remedy for depression by accident.

Last fall I took pollen to boost my immune system in the winter.

The "side effect" was that I also felt quite happy and confident in my future. I usually worry and get depressed when I try to envision my family’s future in these troubled times.

I was so pleased with the results, that, this year, I used an improved bee products recipe with locust honey, propolis tincture, pollen and royal jelly.

To get rid of nervousness, insomnia and depression, take 1 spoonful of pollen in the morning for 3-4 weeks.

Another tasty recipe: Macerate Sea Buckthorn berry, pollen and Propolis in honey for 1 week, then take 1 tablespoon of this honey for 1 month.

Serotonin is an essential amino acid obtained from tryptophan. It can not be synthesized by the body and is obtained through proper diet.

Vitamin B complex and Magnesium also have a key role in regulating the secretion of serotonin. You can find them in the supplements prescribed by doctors or in food.

Bananas are rich in potassium and magnesium.

Beetroot is a wonder vegetable. It has many vitamins, improves metabolism, fight anemia and has a detoxification effect on the liver, helping it to destroy the stored fat.

Apart from Beetroot, it is recommended that you include your diet more home remedies for depression like carrots, celery, spinach, lettuce, parsley, cabbage, onion and garlic with tonic and stimulating effects.

Pumpkin is rich in tryptophan.

Vitamin C is taken by eating lettuce, spinach, nettles, red beet juice and rosehip jam and vitamin E in wheat germ and soybean oil.

Whole wheat bread, cereals, tofu, milk, cocoa, grapefruit, bananas, pineapples, cherries, avocados, plums, almonds can make up a breakfast or snack which will maintain a high tone throughout the day.
